Walking in EDINBURGH / Scotland (UK)

Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. With a medieval Old Town hilly city is a tourist favourite in the UK.

We start our tour on a windy autumn day (October 2019) at the Edinburgh Castle. The castle is the main tourist attraction with Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. It’s closing time (and some construction going on).

As we walk down the Royal Mile we reach Hunter Square and turn right the the busy South Bridge Street. We walk past the Nation Museum of Scotland, Bedlam Theatre and some of the university area. After the Southside and George Square Gardens we head back to the Old Town and the Edinburgh Waverley train station.

We pass through the station to the New Town. There we see the Scott Monument and the Scottish National Gallery building as we this walking tour through Edinburgh.
