Red Route

Szczecin is a city in the northwest part Poland, near the Baltic Sea. Szczecin has a population of approximately 400,000 people, making it the seventh-largest city in Poland. It is an important seaport and shipbuilding center today.

Throughout its history, Szczecin has been influenced by Polish, German, and Swedish cultures, which is reflected in the city’s architecture, traditions, and cultural life. Today, Szczecin playing an important role in Poland’s economy and trade.

On this walking tour we are following more or less the “Red Route” which connects several notable sights in this rather un-touristic city. We pass several churches like the Gothic St. James Cathedral, and even get to WaÅ‚y Chrobrego, a scenic terrace overlooking the Oder River.
