Kanchanaburi, Thailand is a city with a rather tragic past. Known as the “Gateway to the Death Railway,” Kanchanaburi and it’s bridge over the river Kwai s a reminder of the tremendous hardship during World War II. Films and books were made about the “Death Railway”

We start our walking tour at the Wihan Phra Phothisat Kuan Im. After a quick round in the temple area we visit the Bridge over the River Kwai and later the JEATH War Museum.
