Walking in TRAVNIK / Bosnia and Herzegovina πŸ‡§πŸ‡¦

Travnik / Bosnia and Herzegovina is a town 90 km (56 mi) northwest of Sarajevo. Travnik was the Ottoman Viziers (Governors) capital of Bosnia for 150 years (1697 to 1850). There is little tourism yet nearby Mt. Vlaőić is one of the tallest peaks in the country and an excellent location for skiing and hiking.

We visit the city of Travnik, check the center and later walk in the historical old town (Stari Grad), with Ottoman architecture. At last we walk up to the Stari Grad Castle or Travnik Castle which dates back to pre-Ottoman Bosnia. The castlewas later expanded by the Ottomans in the 14th- and 15th-century.

Out tour end with a great view over Travnik from the castle.
