Walking in STRASBOURG / France 🇫🇷

Sunny Day in the Old Town (2019)

Strasbourg is the capital of the Grand Est region (formerly Alsace region) of France and is known for its beautiful old town.

Other walks on POPtravel around the old town are: https://youtu.be/N_ilI3jhKBY and https://youtu.be/cLnoiaG4O8A

We start this walk at the southern part of the old town on the bridge “Pont Saint-Thomas”. From there we get to the Église Saint-Thomas, where we have a peek inside this protestant church.

On this sunny day we continue to explore the old town with its many little squares and the picturesque “Petit France” which is the most famous tourist area of the old town. Many tourists enjoy this area on this day (in June 2019).

Our tour continues from the western part of the old center to the catholic church “Église Saint-Pierre le-Vieux” and in the direction of the modern Strasbourg train station.

We return to the busy old town and see more of Strasbourg’s Grand ÃŽle (Big Island) on which the old town and most of the city’s famous buildings are located.

Our walking tour finishes at the most impressive sight - the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg.
