Walking in COLOGNE / Germany πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ

Rainy Afternoon (2020)

Cologne (German: KΓΆln) is located along the Rhine river. As the 4th largest city in Germany (after Berlin, Hamburg and Munich) Cologne it is also a popular city with tourists thanks to the Cologne Cathedral (German: KΓΆlner Dom).

We start our tour at the central train station and walk towards the Old Market (Altmarkt) first. There are many pubs and bars in this area where people hang out also to enjoy the local KΓΆlsch beer.

Further along the tour we see the river Rhine and soon have to wait a bit as the rain sets in We continue towards the more modern city center and shopping streets around Schildergasse.

A building that was missed on previous walks is the Dufthaus 4711 where we catch the Glockenspiel.

We get back to the center and the cathedral. At the end of our tour we pass over the Hohenzollern Bridge with thousands of love locks. At last on the other side of the Rhine we can enjoy a view of the Cologne skyline and end our walking tour.
