Altötting / Germany is a Bavarian town with religious significance. For several hundred years Altötting is a destination for pilgrimages by Catholics. In recent times Pope John Paul II visited in 1980 and Pope Benedict XVI in 2006.

We start our tour right outside the center and then visit several sights of Altötting around the Kapellplatz. This square is the spiritual center of the town instead of a place for market activities as in other town. We end our tour of Altötting after half an hour just there again at the Kapellplatz.
