Linz is a city in Upper Austria. Located midway between Salzburg and Vienna we start this walk at the train station in the south of the city.

It’s a midweek public holiday so the streets are rather empty on this warm day at noon.

First we head north of the train station to the Volksgarten with the nearby Landestheater Linz / Musiktheater. On the Landstraße we tour the inner city centre before we turn into the Rudigierstraße to head to the New Cathedral (Linzer Mariendom).

We see the cathedral also from the inside and continue our tour back into the inner old town. There in the old town are baroque buildings, the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus). The main square (Hauptplatz) and streets around there are nice to see.

We cross the Danube river via the Nibelungenbrücke where we see the Ars Electronica Center and end this walking tour of Linz.
